Injection with hyaluronic acid

Hyaluronic acid is an organic substance that is normally included in the joints. This substance is considered to improve the condition of the articular cartilage and also is a macroscopically viscous substance which acts as a lubricant to the hip joint. It has been used extensively in early osteoarthritis of the knee, and has been recently used to the hip joint, in early degenerative lesions. However, it cannot cure osteoarthritis, but may improve pain, stiffness and slow down the degenerative process of the joint, thus delaying the need of a reconstructive surgery.
