An orthopaedic one-day meeting is being organised on acute ligament injuries of the knee in rural areas - prevention and treatment, by the orthopaedic clinic of Kyparissia, under the auspices of the Hellenic Arthroscopy Society.  Distinguished speakers will take part in the meeting, on subjects concerning injuries of the knee, particularly in areas with a rural population.

Alexandros Tzaveas will present the epidemiology of rupture of the anterior cruciate ligament  and the mechanisms of injury.  The talk will describe the ways in which the anterior cruciate ligament is injured and ruptured, a very common injury in people with a high level of physical activity, together with a good deal of epidemiological data on this injury.

The meeting will take place on Saturday 30 March 2019, at the hotel  “Natura Club and Spa” in Kalo Nero, Kyparissia, at 10.30 a.m.
