A lecture on the complications of hip arthroscopy and the ways of avoiding them will be delivered by Alexandros Tzaveas as part of the 8th Panhellenic Congress of the Hellenic Arthroscopy Society in Sparta. The congress is the culmination of the scientific activities of the Hellenic Arthroscopy Society and is held every two years. It is attended by orthopaedic delegates from Greece and abroad who specialise in arthroscopic surgery.
Hip arthroscopy is perhaps the most complex arthroscopic technique of all the joints of the human body. For this reason the complications described in the international literature are not uncommon, and they were more frequent in surgeons' first steps with this technique. Alexandros Tzaveas will present all the ways and secrets of a safe arthroscopic technique for the hip.
The talk will take place on Thursday 30 May 2019, in the amphitheatre of the University of the Peloponnese in Sparta, at 17.00.
