In patients with cam-type femoroacetabular impingement, meticulous femoral osteoplasty is required, that is, careful removal of bone from the appropriate areas. This calls for constantly changing between instruments to remove and debride tissue. We now use the new Tricera instrument from Zimmer Biomet, which combines three functions in a single tool. This allows us to reduce operating time while also increasing the accuracy of the osteoplasty.
