Alexandros Tzaveas has recently been elected a member of the research committee of ISHA (International Society for Hip Arthroscopy-The Hip Preservation Society). This election is a considerable distinction and at the same time a significant challenge and a spur to scientific activity and research in disorders of the hip.
ISHA is a worldwide scientific organisation whose main focus is disorders of the hip and their treatment with modern, minimally invasive techniques. Its members are distinguished, specialist hip surgeons from all over the world. The ISHA Research Committee in particular is made up of 19 distinguished hip surgeons, with the aim of designing, organising and carrying out research protocols that will help towards a better understanding of both common and rarer disorders of the hip that can be treated by arthroscopy or other minimally invasive techniques.
