Femoroacetabular impingement of the Pincer type or, in other words, impingement of the «pincers» or «clamp» type is caused by excessive coverage of the femoral head by the acetabulum. It is a cause of chronic hip pain.
It can be treated with an arthroscopic technique and without an overnight stay in hospital.
