A course in hip arthroscopy on cadaveric specimens is being run by the Richard Villar school of hip arthroscopy. This practical course, entitled “Richard Villar Hip Repair Course”, will be held in London next week. It is directed by the leading, internationally renowned orthopaedic surgeon and hip arthroscopist Richard Villar and his colleague Ali Bajwa. Trainee orthopaedic surgeons from all over the world take part in the course and are trained on cadaveric hips. It is aimed at orthopaedic surgeons taking their first steps in hip arthroscopy, and also at hip surgeons who wish to become familiar with more advanced arthroscopic techniques. The programme includes short lectures, with most of the time devoted to practising the techniques on the cadaveric hips, under the guidance of instructors specialising in the hip from all over Europe.
Alexandros Tzaveas is taking part in the course as an instructor, and will at the same time give a lecture on femoroacetabular impingement entitled “FAI-what it is and what it means”.
The course will take place in Watford, in London in the United Kingdom, from 15 to 17 May 2019.
