Cells are considered a very powerful enhancing factor in the regenerative process of the joints. Preclinical studies have shown considerable effectiveness in cartilage lesions of the joints.
During hip arthroscopy it is possible to harvest the cells from the femoral marrow, without their having to be taken from the pelvis, so that injury to the ilium is avoided. At the same sitting the cells can be injected into the hip joint once the arthroscopy has been completed.
