Osteochondromatosis is a rare condition in which the synovium produces numerous cartilaginous loose bodies, which cause marked symptoms with pain and stiffness in the joint. Removal of these bodies is essential, and the ideal way to do this is through an arthroscopic, minimally invasive technique.
This particular patient had numerous such bodies, which were completely released, while the patient was mobilised immediately and was discharged from the clinic the same day.
