Assessment by peer reviewers (peer reviewing) is the basis for the publication of scientific publications and for the dissemination of scientific evidence within the scientific community. It is considered the most objective and impartial way of filtering and bringing forward reliable scientific information.
Taking part in peer reviewing is a demanding and time-consuming process which nevertheless offers the scientist the reward of motivation, interaction with fellow scientists from all over the world, constant vigilance regarding current scientific data, and also the effort of consolidating those data in everyday clinical practice with the patient. Our practice remains at all times informed and active with regard to the scientific obligations that arise from this process.
