Summary

  • After that I constantly felt a nipping and stabbing sensation in the hip, pain with every deep squat and difficulty when trying to put on my shoe, tie my laces or cut my toenails.
  • At one and a half years after the hip arthroscopy I was able to do deadlifts, squats and running with no discomfort at all, I resumed the martial art Kyokushin and returned to snowboarding and kitesurfing.

“A fall while snowboarding resulted in a tear of the labrum of my hip. After that I constantly felt a nipping and stabbing sensation in the hip, pain with  every deep squat and difficulty when trying to put on my shoe, tie my laces or cut my toenails.  In addition, every attempt at sport ended in pain with inflammation for many days and pain on standing.

I chose Dr Tzaveas on the strength of his research and his articles. As a procedure the operation was entirely painless. Recovery took 6 weeks on crutches and  physiotherapy. At 12 weeks I returned to work and began light sporting activity. At one and a half years after the hip arthroscopy I was able to do deadlifts, squats and running with no discomfort at all, I resumed the martial art Kyokushin and returned to snowboarding and kitesurfing.

As an experience it was hard because of the long time to full recovery, but I was kept fully informed by Dr Tzaveas. I recommend him without reservation. An outstanding scientist and human being”.
